Benzocaine 1%, Phenazone 5%, Ear Drops:

What Benzocaine & Phenazone ear drops product is used for:

• Analgesic ear drops for otitis media. Used to treat minor infections of the outer ear.


• This generic drug is indicated in the following cases:


• Acute otitis media of various etiologies


• Prompt relief of pain and reduction of inflammation in the congestive and serous stages


• Adjuvant therapy during systemic antibiotic administration for resolution of the infection

Do not use Benzocaine & Phenazone ear drops:

• Hypersensitivity to one of the components


• Tympanic membrane perforation

Warnings and precautions:

• If you have a perforated eardrum, or think you may have, consult your doctor before you use this medicine.


• Do not use for more than 7 days.


• Do not give Benzocaine & Phenazone ear drops to children under 12 years of age.


• Avoid contact with the eyes

How to use Benzocaine & Phenazone ear drops:

For adults and children aged 12 years and over.

• Adult: 4-6 drops 3-4 times daily depending on the severity of inflammation

How to store Benzocaine & Phenazone ear drops:

• Store between 15°-25°C (59°- 77°F).


• Protect from light and heat.


• Keep out of reach of children.
